Up to 300 jobs were created in the Kalush community in 2022
Approximately the same amount is expected this year.
The vector of activity chosen by the Kalush City Council - to help relocated enterprises - is correct and necessary.
In addition to helping people who are forced to flee from war, to relocate their own businesses, to relocate production facilities, it is also, most importantly, to support the country's economy and create new jobs for community residents.
Suziria Brands, which is part of the Ukrainian family company Suziria Group and specializes in the creation of pet brands and the production of treats for animals, announced in November the opening of another 1,600 square meter production facility in Kalush.
The launch of the first production of grain feed and treats took place in September 2022. Another production facility operates in Kharkiv.
"The appearance of another new enterprise in the Kaluska community is evidence of close mutually beneficial cooperation and mutual understanding between business and the authorities. Thanks to this, new jobs and additional revenues to the community budget have appeared, which allow financing various social programs. In turn, the level of unemployment decreases, social tension decreases. It also increases the competitiveness of the community, attracts qualified and energetic people and contributes to the creation of new jobs in other areas of the economy," says Yuriy Sokolovskyi, head of the economic development department of the Kalusa City Council.
Suziria Brands plans to employ a minimum of 32 employees per shift.
The next important step for Suziria Brands will be bringing the Half&Half brand to the international market.
As of November 2023, Suziria Brands already exports its brands of food, non-food and veterinary categories Savory, Priroda, SpecialOne, ProVet to more than 10 partners and continues to actively develop them.
