The Kalush City Council signed a memorandum of solidarity partnership with the city of Lahr (Germany)

THE COMMUNITY OF KALUSH WAS ENRICHED BY FRIENDSHIP WITH ANOTHER EUROPEAN CITY:

MEMORANDUM ON SOLIDARITY PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE COMMUNITY OF KALUSH AND THE GERMAN CITY OF LAR WAS SIGNED

      At the invitation of Lar Markus Ibert, Mayor Andriy Naida together with Council Secretary Viktor Giltaichuk, Head of the Department of Culture of Nationalities and Religions Lyubov Dzhugan, Chief Specialist of the City Economic Development Department Tetyana Dug visited the beautiful ancient German city to officially unite communities by signing a memorandum of solidarity partnership.

     After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, it was the Laru community that extended a reliable helping hand to us and the entire Ukrainian people. This was another proof that our true friends live in the city of Lar, ready to selflessly help all those in need.
    Special thanks to Mr. Pirmin Styrnol, Ms. Angie Kovalenko, who visited the Kalush community, to the entire team of the NGO "Gemeinsam Europa gestalten e.V.", to the residents of Lar for more than a hundred tons of humanitarian aid sent to Ukraine: medicines, food products, items of daily use.
    All this cargo became extremely helpful to people who evacuated to the Kalush community from the territories where hostilities are taking place. And this aid was directed to the areas bordering the front line. Actually, it was the visit of Mr. Pirmin Styrnol and Mr. Angie Kovalenko that became the starting point for the establishment of communication between Kalush and the honorable Markus Ibert.

      Kalush and Lar have a lot in common, so close cooperation in the fields of culture and art, education, sports, health care will continue to develop.

    The establishment of a mutual partnership will bring its results and have a positive impact on socio-economic and cultural development, as well as be a significant contribution to the deepening of mutual understanding between the communities of Ukraine and Germany!
