The National Forum in Kyiv discussed strategic planning at the regional level

   This large-scale event was chaired by the Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Ryabykin. The forum was attended by: Oleksiy Kuleba – Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine; Viktor Mykyta – Deputy Head of the Office of the President; Oleksandr Korniyenko – First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine; Masashi Nakagome – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine; Christoforos Politis – Deputy Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine, as well as people’s deputies, representatives of ministries, departments and international organizations.

   The National Forum was organized with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP Ukraine) and with financial assistance from the Government of Japan.

   Mayor Andriy Nayda represented Ivano-Frankivsk region at this event together with Deputy Head of the Regional Military Administration Vadym Sozonik, Head of the Department of Economic Development, Industry and Infrastructure of the Regional State Administration Serhiy Podoshva, Lysetskyi Mayor Anatoly Lushchak and Head of the Regional Development Agency Tetyana Zbyrak.

   The topic of strategic planning, challenges and prospects of regional development in the conditions of Ukraine's recovery was discussed within the framework of the panel discussion "Main conclusions of strategic sessions and regional features of macroregions". They also got acquainted with the basics of a territorially oriented approach in strategic planning.

   The forum became an important platform for exchanging experience and developing a common vision of the future development of regions.
